Hundreds without power after vehicle accident in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC -
Hundreds are without power in Mount Pleasant after a car hit a utility pole.

Officials tell News 2 the accident happened shortly after 8 Thursday night near Center Street in the Old Village area of Mount Pleasant. A crew from SCE&G is on scene to restore power to the area.

According to the utility company, more than 300 people are currently without power.

Officials said the power should be restored by early Friday morning.

No injuries were reported in the accident.
